We sing the classics
Spring, 2025, will mark the 37th season of the Plymouth Oratorio Society. With Dr. Richard Ingram in his 17th season as conductor, we are a community choral group open to all interested singers without audition and provide an opportunity to perform great choral works at the highest levels of musicianship. The society's singers come from over twenty different communities in Wayne, Washtenaw, Oakland and Livingston counties. Further, we ask only for a free-will offering as the admission to our concert.
The group begins weekly rehearsals each year in January that lead to a spring performance. Selections during the past thirty-six years have included the Easter portion of Handel's "Messiah", Bach's "Passion According to St. John", Requiems by Mozart, Brahms and Rutter, and Stravinsky's "Symphony of Psalms".
